Dear Rain: I don’t mind you one bit however my joints seem a little achy. Maybe a little more warmness tomorrow? Dear National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day: Did you think you were going to slip by me? No way! Even in the pouring rain I’ll venture outside for Placid Baker’s finest. Dear Beau: These next two weeks are going to be our toughest yet but I’m pretty sure we’ll both come out victorious. We are. We are. Victorious. Oh, and I told you I’d save half the cookie. I do have willpower!
This past weekend was jam-packed! And let me add, we have a winner! Insert horrible photograph now:
I worked the booth Saturday with the beau at Tulip Festival and while I was left unattended for two minutes, BAM! I got a random hug from this fellow above. And then he ran away. No joke, 16 second interaction. He found me, at Tulip Festival. Once I get his address, I’m going to mail him a surprise. And no, I’m not telling because then it would be ruined for him.
Speaking of Tulip Fest, it was a hit! People loved us, well, I always knew they would but really, it was great to see people recognize Taylor & Ben’s work and others stop to snag it up. Keep Albany Boring snuck in a few photographs to feature on a recent post. Notice a certain purple sweater? Personally, I love talking to strangers and taking their money. It’s more about the experience but bringing in the cheddah is always a sweet sweet feeling.
According to my iPhone, this is what my weekend was like:
Kitty sure did miss me and was ready to snuggle in regardless of how early in the evening it may have been.
Speaking of Taylor & Ben from Design It Together, I should mention that this neat shop is moving to a bigger and better space! Although the “old” space will forever hold a special place in my ticker (that’s where the beau and I first met), they are going to be expanding their services and have more room for shows. This month for Troy Night Out, Chris Neumann and Simple Machines will be performing in the new space as a little teaser of what’s to come. If I didn’t already have plans to run a MARATHON I’d be there. And you should be there too!
