The past week was crazy! Crazy good. Crazy busy. Crazy spontaneous. I don’t have much time this evening to recap everything, so I figured I’ll use the photographs from my iPhone.
Monday night upon my return from Burlington, the beau broke out “I’m Proud of You” champagne. Those bubbles were surely bubbly!
Walking home from work on Wednesday in the rain, I spotted this “book.” I stopped. Looked around. And of course went to pick it up. Inside was a rubber rat, candy airheads, and a light bulb.
Thursday’s morning walk consisted of holding hands, good conversation and stopping to smell the roses. A couple of times.
Friday after work = helping the beau move his business! BUT FIRST! We needed the essentials to keep us going all night: Dorritos. Taco Bell. and Miller High Life. oh, and the no-hitter METS Game and Kanye Pandora Radio.
Saturday was more moving, more organizing and more bad food decisions. A whole I Love NY Pizza at 2 a.m. as a little pick-us-up was just what we needed. And look! The store is coming along! Can’t wait for the last few details to be finished.
Sunday I sat at the finish line, in the pouring rain, to see my good friend finish her first century ride. 100 miles?! Seriously?! This tiny gal has spunk and power. I admire her.
Which leaves me with Monday. Today consisted of cleaning, packing and shopping at the co-op, the market, and Target for our groceries and last minute items for our trip; the beau and I are leaving tomorrow morning for Tennessee! We bought tickets in the fall for Bonnaroo and let me just say, this road-trip couldn’t have come at a better time.
I will be completely disconnected from electronics this trip: no cell phone and no GPS. Just a map and some film cameras. Can’t wait to share my experience with all of you; photographs might take a while seeing as it’ll take time to develop… but I love the surprise of picking them up and running out to the car to sit and admire each photograph. I’m a dork, I know.
Have a great work week and look for updates next Wednesday when I return!
